Overwhelmed by Ignorance

Okay, I admit it, I do want to change the world, and I don't know how:

Is truth-speaking good policy or was Machiavelli right?

Was Gandhi really a liberation hero
or just hopelessly naive
and stupidly stubborn?

Has Bob Geldof sold out or bought himself a powerful audience?

Can Vandana Shiva's ideas really walk the walk or is she
yet another obfuscatory academic blowhard?

When Tim Robbins and Susan Sarandon put their bodies on the line
why are they so far from the cops and so close to the media?

If my precious faith is to be put in the salt of the earth
why does most of my food come from businessmen
and the rest from closed-minded racists?

Are my own words and thoughts destined to enter
the meaningless cacophony, drowned by the winds,
swept by the waves, and melted by the sun?

Maybe they are destined fo rthis fate.

But maybe all things are. It is possible that all things are cut from the same cloth.

Did all matter in the universe originated at one point? If so, all your words are as important as the sun.

boosh!

this comment is so great, it is the best possible answer to my question.
